Characteristics of Maggie and Don in the Rainbow Bird Essay
Maggie is a nature-sweetheart and entranced naturally. Rather than focusing in class, Maggieââ¬â¢s mind ââ¬Å"had been loaded up with a dream of the bird.â⬠This unmistakably shows she is so excited by the rainbow winged creature that she can't pack in class. From what her mom stated, ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s a winged animal nowâ⬠, I can deduce that she may have different interests previously. In school, she conveyed ââ¬Å"beetlesââ¬â¢ wings and cowriesâ⬠about in her work area ââ¬Å"to gaze atâ⬠and this shows she is an individual who cherishes nature. Her adoration for nature is additionally clear in the manner she responds when she discovers that the Honey Man murdered the rainbow winged animal and its family. Her outrage and distress uncover how much the flying creature intends to her. She is clandestine, introvert and is misjudged by others. Maggie will not tell her companions about ââ¬Å"her secretâ⬠about the rainbow flying creature. She is worried about the possibility that that in the event that they get some answers concerning the rainbow feathered creature, they will begin prodding and ridiculing her. Maggie is enthusiastic, touchy and vindictive. After catching wind of the rainbow birdââ¬â¢s demise, Maggie ââ¬Å"lets herself kick worked upâ⬠and off to revile the Honey Man. This is clear in ââ¬Å"He will bite the dust. I realize he will.. Teach him a thing or two, tooâ⬠She detests the Honey Man so much that she depicts him as a ââ¬Å"devilâ⬠and a ââ¬Å"beastâ⬠and wanted that ââ¬Å"forked lightning would jumped out of the sky and scorch him to ashes.â⬠This obviously shows Maggie holds resentment against the Honey Man and is vindictive. Maggie promptly scrutinized the Honey Man, ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢re you doing with that gun?â⬠This shows Maggie is direct and impolite in light of the fact that she didn't welcome the Honey Man when she saw him. Following school, Maggie ââ¬Å"raced downâ⬠continually encouraging Don to pick up the pace. This shows she is on edge to meet the rainbow flying creature and restless. She advised Don to ââ¬Å"chuckâ⬠the fowl away and Don ââ¬Å"obeyedâ⬠her. Maggie had the option to cause Don to hear her out and ready to control Don. Maggie could recognize that it was Cafferty the Honey Man who was the ââ¬Å"big, dull figureâ⬠on the incline. She could see a ââ¬Å"lumpâ⬠in his pocket. Maggie watched the Honey Manââ¬â¢s each move and is along these lines attentive. Despite the fact that the rainbow winged creature is dead, Maggie is as yet detesting the Honey Man that he murdered the feathered creature. She likewise imagined that the individuals were ââ¬Å"burying the rainbow birdâ⬠. This shows she is ridiculous was all the while contemplating the rainbow fledgling. Maggie is inventive. In spite of the fact that the rainbow flying creature is dead, Maggie is attempting to ââ¬Å"imagineâ⬠the rainbow winged creature and believed that the individuals were ââ¬Å"burying the rainbow birdâ⬠. This shows Maggie is creative. After hearing that the Honey Man is charging ââ¬Å"six-penceâ⬠for each rainbow fowl, Don intended to go chasing for rainbow flying creatures with different young men. He was not on his sisterââ¬â¢s side and needed to slaughter the rainbow flying creatures for cash. This shows Don is insatiable. Wear ââ¬Å"obeyedâ⬠his sister and ââ¬Å"chuckâ⬠the rainbow feathered creature away. Wear needed to â⬠feel if there were any little onesâ⬠in the home without thinking about that the mother flying creature would leave. He didn't realize that there was somebody close to the home and was going to go on however Maggie halted him. This obviously shows he is careless, and get things done without intuition. Despite the fact that the rainbow is dead, Don ââ¬Å"pretended he didn't careâ⬠and didn't reassure his sister. He didn't feel dismal when the rainbow flying creature is dead. This shows he is savage and unfeeling.
